And even more of<br>Younger travelers say the same thing. This is shown by a survey conducted by the shipping company Viking.<br>Line in Estonia, Finland and Sweden.<br>Viking Line&#039;s latest survey was conducted by Demoskop, which interviewed 2,000 people.<br>between 18 and 80 years in Sweden and Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>One in three respondents aged 18\u201330 say that sustainability is a significant aspect when they<br>will book a trip.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A full 39 percent of people aged 18\u201330 would consider paying more for a sustainable alternative.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Most (12 percent of those interviewed) would consider paying an extra 60 kronor and slightly fewer<br>(11 percent) 100 kronor extra for a more sustainable trip.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last summer, Viking Line began offering passengers on the Turku route the opportunity to purchase renewable<br>biofuel, which allows travelers to reduce emissions from their trip by up to 90 percent.<br>\u2013 The introduction of biofuel is a good example of long-term climate work and long-term<br>investments. We built in the readiness to use biogas and synthetic<br>fuels produced with renewable energy in Viking Glory, which was completed in 2021, and Viking Grace,<br>which was completed in 2013. There is now enough biogas produced from waste products on<br>the market so that we can start using it as a fuel together with liquefied natural gas<br>for our climate-smart ship pair. This is a very significant milestone in our more than forty-year-long<br>sustainability journey, says Dani Lindberg, Sustainability Manager at Viking Line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Viking Line&#039;s climate work is largely driven by increased consumer demands \u2013 but also by stricter regulations.<br>climate standards. In February, Viking Line also began a collaboration with the Ports of Stockholm and<br>Port of Turku to create a green shipping corridor between Stockholm and Turku.<br>The goal is for the corridor to be completely fossil-free by 2035.
