Oslo-Stockholm is thus part of the ScanMed corridor, which is part of the Trans-European Transport Corridors (TEN-T).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The TEN-T Regulation also prioritizes cross-border connections to third countries \u2013 that is, also to Norway, which is not a member of the EU. Here, the governments of Sweden and Norway have clearly shown their support for including the Oslo-Stockholm route as an important cross-border connection for the EU. The decision in the European Parliament to now include Oslo-Stockholm in the newly developed TEN-T Regulation means that all Nordic capitals will have a direct connection to each other through the ScanMed transport corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 In recent years, we have worked hard together with our owners to become part of the ScanMed corridor. It is great that we have now reached a decision in the EU Parliament, it means a lot for the continued work. The decision requires higher capacity in the corridor, but also enables significant support from the EU. As improvements in the corridor are even more urgent now that Sweden must increase its defense capabilities, there is an even better opportunity to quickly achieve major improvements.
