The weak Swedish krona means that Swedes need to travel far to experience a cheaper summer vacation. Many households are experiencing more strained finances than in many years and with summer just around the corner, it may be wise to look around for a travel destination that won't empty your wallet.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past year, the Swedish krona has weakened significantly against most currencies around the world. There are few countries where the krona has strengthened if you look at exchange rates. Among the countries where the Swedish krona has strengthened we find Argentina, Lebanon, Turkey, Colombia, Albania, Mexico and Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2013 We Swedes tend to want to enjoy our summer holidays in southern Europe where we can get sun and warmth. But if you choose Europe this summer, you will have a clearly more expensive experience than in many years.
