Cirium\u00ae*, a company that provides data to the aviation industry, reported that 84.08 % of Icelandair\u2019s flights nationwide arrived on time last month. This follows a punctuality of 84.36 % in May. Keflavik International Airport (KEF), Icelandair\u2019s main hub, had an OTP of 74.52 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In June, Icelandair carried 514,000 passengers, with a load factor of 83%. So far this year, Icelandair has carried two million passengers, 7 % more than last year, and there is growing passenger demand for Iceland as a stopover destination between Europe and North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bogi Nils Bogason, Icelandair President &amp; CEO commented: \u201dWe know that punctuality is one of the most important factors for our customers, so we are very pleased to see Icelandair as the most punctual airline in Europe at the moment. All this thanks to a strong focus and the outstanding work of the team. We are proud to see that this hard work is paying off, which has led to an increase in positive feedback in passenger surveys and also contributes to lower operating costs for the airline.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2024, Icelandair has launched three new routes (Faroe Islands, Halifax and Pittsburgh) and expanded its route network to an impressive 50 destinations, making the current summer schedule the largest in the company&#039;s history.
