Several major authorities are experiencing extensive disruptions to their communication and alarm systems on Wednesday, reports the Dutch newspaper De Stentor. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Both the coastguard, military police, fire brigade, police and ambulance services in large parts of the country are subject to major disruptions. The problems have led to blue-light personnel being unable to send incident alerts through their internal system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201dWe have switched to alerting via SMS,\u201d says Patricia van Tricht, spokesperson for the Utrecht Safety Region, to the newspaper De Stentor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eindhoven Airport is also experiencing problems that mean planes are unable to land or take off. Passengers are being transported by bus to an airport in Weeze, Germany, to continue their journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
