Icelandair has signed a partnership agreement with Southwestern Airlines for 2025. The partnership will make Icelandair Southwest Airlines\u2019 first airline partner, making it easy for customers to seamlessly connect the two carriers\u2019 networks. At the same time, Icelandair continues to expand its network and will introduce a new direct route from Reykjavik to Nashville, Tennessee, in the summer of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The partnership strengthens Icelandair's presence in the North American market, with Baltimore-Washington becoming the first connecting point between the two airlines. Icelandair's route network currently includes 34 destinations in Europe and 17 in North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collaboration will enable Southwest to expand its global route network beyond the nearly 120 destinations we already serve in North America,\u201d said Ryan Green, Executive Vice President of Southwest Airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of this expansion, Icelandair is also launching a new direct route from Reykjavik to Nashville, Tennessee, starting on May 16, 2025. The new route will be operated four times a week until the end of October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
