The signing took place at TAP\u2019s office at Lisbon Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TAP offers an extensive network of 90 destinations around the world, including Europe, Africa and South America. Icelandair&#039;s route network spans around 60 destinations in Europe and North America. Both airlines are known for their stopover concepts, which allow passengers to experience the airlines&#039; home countries en route between destinations, without additional airfares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bilateral codeshare partnership will come into effect in the coming weeks and customers of both airlines will be able to connect between the airlines&#039; networks in one ticket with their baggage checked all the way to their final destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bogi Nils Bogason, CEO, Icelandair:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201dIt is very exciting to add TAP to our strong group of partner airlines. We have recently started flying to Lisbon and by also offering co-branded flights with TAP we can greatly expand the choice of destinations when it comes to connecting flights. Passengers starting their flight in Iceland will therefore be able to stopover in Lisbon on their way to exciting destinations in TAP\u2019s network.
