The Travel Gala, organised by the Finnish Travel Industry Association (SMAL), celebrates achievements in tourism at both national and international levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finnlines was awarded the Transport Company of the Year award at the Finnish Travel Gala in Vantaa, Finland, on Friday, November 1, 2024. The award was based on a vote of around 13,500 consumers and travel professionals. The award was received by Finnlines&#039; Head of Passenger Services Marco Palmu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 It is a great honour for us to receive this award and I would like to thank our competent employees and partners for their joint efforts. I would also like to thank all of you who voted for Finnlines, says Marco Palmu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Transport Company of the Year award is an award for Finnline&#039;s freight and passenger traffic, which supports both Finland&#039;s and Sweden&#039;s security of supply. Finnish travelers are offered a sustainable alternative to travel by sea to \u00c5land, Sweden and Germany, while Swedish travelers can reach \u00c5land, Finland, Germany and Poland.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2023 and 2024, Finnlines introduced two new Superstar-class ships, Finnsirius and Finncanopus, on the route between Sweden and Finland via \u00c5land (Kapellsk\u00e4r-L\u00e5ngn\u00e4s-N\u00e5dendal). These energy-efficient ships are part of Finnlines\u2019 latest \u20ac500 million green investment program and are the company\u2019s largest ships for freight and passenger traffic. Both ships have a capacity for up to 1,100 passengers and 5,200 cargo meters each.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With over 75 years of experience in shipping and a fleet of around 20 vessels operating across the Baltic Sea, the North Sea and the Bay of Biscay, Finnlines plays a crucial role in maintaining Europe&#039;s supply chains. The company is continuously working to improve its environmental sustainability through innovative and green technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nominated for Marketing Campaign of the Year<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, Finnlines&#039; launch campaign for Finnsirius, &quot;Let&#039;s Get Sirius,&quot; was nominated for Marketing Campaign of the Year.
