Turkey will be the latest addition to their network of destinations. Flights to Istanbul IST will be offered four times a week from 5 September 2025, with a flight time of approximately five and a half hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the new route to Istanbul, Icelandair is expanding its codeshare cooperation with Turkish Airlines, which was first announced in the summer of 2023. Turkish Airlines is the airline that operates to the most countries in the world, and Icelandair's flight times to Istanbul will be coordinated for smooth connections to Turkish Airlines' routes to and from Asia and the Middle East.
