The hotel, originally built to become the city&#039;s new bank in 1901, is now being renovated to open under a new flag on April 1, 2025 and become part of the Clarion Collection hotel chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"841\" height=\"620\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ChristianIV-Lobby.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-298623\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ChristianIV-Lobby.jpg 841w, https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ChristianIV-Lobby-600x442.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/ChristianIV-Lobby-768x566.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 841px) 100vw, 841px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the middle of Kristianstad and 100 meters from the train and bus station, Hotel Christian IV is a popular choice for those who are going to spend the night in eastern Sk\u00e5ne. The attractiveness is not diminished by the fact that the hotel literally oozes history. Among other things, the bank&#039;s history is reminded by the fact that the old bank vault is now used as a wine cellar. And the history of the building is something that is now being built on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 It feels incredibly fun to welcome the hotel and the team to the Strawberry family. Together we are now refining the hotel to highlight the building&#039;s history and warm atmosphere. Together with Clarion Collection&#039;s unique concept where guests are offered breakfast, afternoon coffee and dinner, we will give guests the feeling of having come home. All so that guests can lower their shoulders and concentrate solely on having a good time, says Petter Stordalen, owner of Strawberry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The hotel&#039;s 86 hotel rooms, conference rooms and other areas have been renovated for some time now, with a view to opening on April 1, 2025, as part of Strawberry&#039;s Nordic hotel chain Clarion Collection.
