Another senior executive is leaving the hard-pressed American aircraft manufacturer Boeing. Chief information officer Susan Doniz is leaving her post effective immediately, according to documents seen by Bloomberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This means that five managers have left the group's management since Kelly Ortberg took over as CEO in early August after Dave Calhoun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Boeing has been hit by strikes, among other things, and in October reported a loss of $6.2 billion (equivalent to just over SEK 68 billion) for the third quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A process is now underway to get rid of every tenth employee, corresponding to approximately 17,000 jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of many problems is that a settlement with the US Department of Justice after two fatal plane crashes, in Indonesia and Ethiopia in 2018 and 2019 respectively, has stalled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, several incidents have led to allegations of poor maintenance and safety practices, and various congressional bodies have issued scathing criticism of the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
