The number of hotel rooms sold increased by just over 3 percent in March and hotel room prices increased by about the same amount compared to the same month in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is stated in a press release from the industry organization Visita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of the major cities, demand increased clearly in Stockholm by just over 5 percent, while Gothenburg and Malm\u00f6 dropped by 4 and 5 percent respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first three weeks of the month were characterized by negative development figures for the hotel market as a whole. During the period 1-20 March, the number of rooms sold decreased by just over 4 percent. However, the development changed in the last week, and there are two interacting explanations, according to Visita. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201d"Partly a calendar effect that seems to have to do with a naturally lower demand during the comparison period due to the Easter holidays last year. Partly an unnaturally high demand in the Stockholm region as a result of Kent's concerts.
