Today, trips with active content attract thousands of travelers - and it was Springtime that set the standard back in 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>\u2013 We didn&#039;t jump on a trend \u2013 we started it, says Patrik Yderberg, CEO of Springtime.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When Springtime launched Training Camp Portugal in 2005, it was with the vision of offering active travel experiences for customers who train to feel good \u2013 not necessarily to perform. At the time, the market was largely non-existent. Today, wellness tourism is one of the fastest growing segments in the travel industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Global Wellness Institute\u00b9, wellness tourism is expected to generate a turnover of 1.3 trillion dollars by 2025. In Sweden, fitness trips are highlighted as one of the clearest trends in the package travel industry\u00b2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 We were not a company that jumped on a trend. We helped build it. We still live as we teach \u2013 and my feeling is that it is perceived as both genuine and well thought out, says Patrik Yderberg, CEO of Springtime Travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>From running camps to lifestyle trips \u2013 with thousands of guests every year<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Training Camp Portugal was born from Springtime&#039;s running camp in Mallorca, starting in 2000, but quickly developed into something bigger. Initially, the trip was aimed at runners who wanted to get in top shape for races like the Stockholm Marathon and the G\u00f6teborgsvarvet. But over time, the content broadened \u2013 both in terms of training types and target groups \u2013 and the health aspect became increasingly central.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When profiles like Blossom Tainton and Tobias Karlsson joined as profiles in 2005, interest exploded, and sales increased by over 400 percent in a few years. What started as a small venture quickly became a year-round business with both breadth and sophistication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, Springtime Training Camp Portugal organizes 20 weeks a year. On site, over 50 training sessions are offered per week, led by 10\u201315 committed leaders. The variation in the structure suits both curious exercisers and those who have a clear goal and a dedicated approach to their training. Everyone from beginners to experienced exercisers gather here \u2013 such as SUB-3 runners with their sights set on a personal best at the marathon distance \u2013 as well as families, seniors and participants from the Glada Hudik Theater. The training range ranges from yoga, dance and mobility to running, paddle and strength training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 It&#039;s no longer just about running fast \u2013 although the passionate runners who were there from the beginning still have their place with us. Today, people of all ages and life situations travel with us \u2013 not just for the training itself, but for the whole. They want to move, get new energy and do it in a context where it&#039;s easy to enjoy and easy to meet others with similar driving forces.
