Every year, Travel + Leisure asks its readers to participate in a survey for the World\u2019s Best Awards, where they share their opinions on destinations worldwide, including cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. Readers rate islands based on activities and sights, natural attractions and beaches, food, hospitality, and the overall value of the trip. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In this year's edition, the British Virgin Islands had two islands on the list: Virgin Gorda at number 15 and Jost Van Dyke at number 22. Virgin Gorda has also earned a place in Travel + Leisure World\u2019s Best Hall of Fame, an accolade for islands that have appeared on the list for over 10 consecutive years; a testament to enduring quality and recognition within the travel industry.
