The Thai government has urged the population to show respect during a 90-day mourning period that will last until January 22, 2026. In the meantime, Thais are expected to wear muted colors and avoid festive events \u2013 and tourists are also advised to exercise some caution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to travel agency Ticket, interest in Thailand has increased significantly ahead of this year's winter season. Bookings to the country are 22 percent higher than during the same period last year, and Phuket, Krabi and Bangkok are among the most booked destinations this winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
