\u201dWe see stable growth across all passenger groups with as much as 11 percent more
travelers compared to the same time last year. This year, airlines have the largest winter traffic program in the airport's history, with more connections than ever before.
The routes to warmer destinations in Europe are popular, and there is also high demand for the many routes further out into the world,\u201d says Peter Krogsgaard, Commercial Director at Copenhagen Airport.

Transmission traffic is increasing sharply<\/strong>
More and more people are using Copenhagen Airport as a hub on their way to their final
destination. 37 percent more passengers were transfer passengers in November compared to the same month last year. This means that one in four passengers at the airport is now a transfer passenger.
Transmission traffic is of great importance to Denmark as it ensures even more direct
routes to and from Copenhagen Airport. Good connections with the world mean increased

\u201dThe significant growth in transhipment traffic is a clear signal that Copenhagen is the preferred transport hub in the Nordic region. With transfer traffic, we can maintain and develop the route network to destinations around the world that would otherwise not be directly accessible, and this is positive for the Danish economy,\u201d explains Peter Krogsgaard.
The majority of transfer passengers come from Denmark, Sweden and Norway, but also from Germany, Italy and Poland.
Domestic travel is increasing<\/strong>
Domestic traffic also increased significantly in November, with 23 percent more passengers than in the same period last year. This shows that the aircraft continues to be an important part of the Danish infrastructure and creates cohesion between the regions.
\u201d"Domestic roads are crucial for many Danes, who need to travel back and forth between regions quickly, and no matter where in the country there is easy access to the whole world. The growth underlines that we have a strong and efficient network that makes it easy to get from Aalborg or Bornholm to, for example, Marrakechh or Seoul," says Peter Krogsgaard.
Domestic growth is mainly due to traffic on the routes from Billund and Aalborg and is driven by both local passengers and transfer passengers.
Strong winter traffic program for long-distance lines<\/strong>
This year's winter traffic program offers many long-distance routes that contribute to
November passenger growth. There are now even more opportunities to travel directly to Asia: Shanghai is back on the route map, the route to Japan is experiencing significant growth, and new destinations such as Mumbai in India and Seoul in Korea have been added.
\u201dWe have a great appetite for travel to Asia and the Middle East. This reflects a travel trend where more people are seeking experiences that provide insight into other traditions and cultures. Therefore, it is crucial that we, as the largest international transport hub in the Nordic region, can contribute to this development with a broad and stable route network that follows passenger needs and travel patterns,\u201d says Peter Krogsgaard.
In November, 23 percent more passengers traveled between Copenhagen and Asian destinations compared to the same month last year, while growth to the Middle East was 14 percent.
