The situation in air traffic remains problematic in large parts of Western Europe. Hundreds of departures are being cancelled or delayed from Schiphol on Tuesday as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Snow has affected major airports such as France's Orly, Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam's Schiphol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Only a limited number of flights were able to take off from Schiphol on Monday, and in Paris, traffic was asked to be reduced by 15 percent due to the severe weather. In western French Charente-Maritime, among other places, around 30 centimetres of snow fell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The situation has eased slightly in France, but it is now clear that many departures are being cancelled or delayed at European airports again on Tuesday, particularly from Schiphol. Airline KLM writes on its website that it has cancelled 300 flights to and from the major airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
