Since its launch, the flight has been a success with over 50,000 passengers and interest is steadily increasing. Therefore, Ryanair has now decided to increase the number of departures by 50 percent, from today&#039;s two to three departures per week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In March 2024, the Irish airline Ryanair opened a flight between Skellefte\u00e5 and the Polish port city of Gdansk. The flight became the first international year-round route to northern Sweden since the pandemic years. Since its launch, the route has attracted many Polish and Swedish travelers and interest continues to grow.<br>Ryanair has therefore decided to increase the number of flights from the current two to three per week. The increase represents a 50 percent increase in capacity, with the number of seats per week increasing from 756 to 1,134. The new three-weekly schedule will start on 3 June 2026 and continue throughout the summer programme until October 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We see that more and more Poles are choosing to travel to Skellefte\u00e5 for summer and winter experiences. We have both magical midnight lights and spectacular northern lights to offer our Polish guests, which is appreciated. The cooperation between tour operators in both countries is developing and the product range is increasing, and therefore the increased air traffic is very welcome, says Maria Broman, CEO of Visit Skellefte\u00e5.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Skellefte\u00e5 and northern Sweden need good accessibility to the outside world and the outside world needs good accessibility to us.
