Sales of $22.8 billion were expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earnings of $9.92 per share primarily reflect a gain of $9.6 billion on the sale of parts of the company&#039;s Digital Aviation Solutions business area. This increased earnings per share by $11.83.
