Oneworld has today appointed the experienced airline industry leader Ole Orv\u00e9r as its new Chief Executive Officer. He will take up the role on 1 April 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00d6rver, who is a Swedish citizen, has over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry. He most recently held the position of Chief Commercial Officer at Finnair, where he played a central role in reshaping the company's commercial and network strategy, as well as launching extensive initiatives in revenue optimisation and loyalty programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Strong international background<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Before his time at Finnair, Orv\u00e9r was Senior Vice President \u2013 Network Management at Qatar Airways. He has also held leading positions within Air Berlin, LOT Polish Airlines and SAS Scandinavian Airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He holds a degree in economics from Mid Sweden University, as well as a certificate from the Strategic Thinking and Leadership Growth Program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Robert Isom, CEO of American Airlines and current Chairman of the oneworld Governing Board, comments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n We are very pleased to welcome Ole as the CEO of oneworld.
