China Eastern will be an important addition to the offering at Stockholm Arlanda, connecting the Swedish capital with Shanghai, China&#039;s financial and commercial hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 There is great confidence in the Swedish air travel market and China Eastern&#039;s investment in a direct route from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Shanghai is a clear sign of this. China Eastern will play an important role in connecting Sweden with China and other well-established markets in Asia. Swedavia&#039;s main goal is to increase accessibility and China Eastern&#039;s large network makes it easier for people to meet, whether for business, tourism or to visit family and friends, says Susanne Norman, acting CEO and Group CEO of Swedavia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shanghai is China&#039;s largest city, a global financial and commercial hub and home to one of the world&#039;s busiest ports. China is Sweden&#039;s largest trading partner in Asia, and Shanghai is the base for many large Swedish companies. The new route will also be of great importance to the tourism industry, and valuable and time-critical cargo will benefit from shorter and faster delivery times. In addition, the route will serve as an important connection to the rest of China and Asia thanks to China Eastern&#039;s extensive network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Starting on 22 June 2026, China Eastern will operate Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) \u2013 Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the press release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>About China Eastern<\/strong><br><em>China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd., headquartered in Shanghai, is one of the three largest state-owned air transport groups in China. The company is listed on both the Shanghai and Hong Kong stock exchanges. China Eastern has a fleet of over 800 aircraft, one of the youngest in the world. In addition, it has the largest wide-body fleet of leading commercial and technical models in China.
