The lounge is located in the newly opened Terminal 3 and is part of the alliance&#039;s continued investment in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new lounge covers approximately 1,400 square meters and can accommodate approximately 245 guests. One of the most distinctive features is a 700 square meter outdoor garden \u2013 an unusual solution in airport environments \u2013 which offers travelers a quiet place to relax before departure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Star-Alliance-Guangzhou-Lounge-Space-1920x1280.jpeg\" alt=\"Star Alliance Guangzhou Lounge Space\" class=\"wp-image-303456\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Star Alliance Guangzhou Lounge Space<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lounge is open 24 hours a day and is aimed at first and business class passengers as well as travelers with Star Alliance Gold status, regardless of booking class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cLounges are an important part of the customer experience and contribute to smoother travel. This new facility is both bigger and better, offering increased comfort and functionality,\u201d says Ambar Franco, Head of Customer Experience at Star Alliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1300\" height=\"866\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Star-Alliance-Guangzhou-Lounge-Welcome-e1777369265250.jpeg\" alt=\"Star Alliance Guangzhou Lounge Welcome\" class=\"wp-image-303455\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Star Alliance Guangzhou Lounge Welcome<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The design was developed in collaboration with the airport and is inspired by local culture and nature, including elements from the Lingnan region and the city&#039;s iconic kapok flower. A special tea experience with tea ceremonies also highlights Chinese traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lounge offers several different zones, including resting areas, sleeping cabins, private rooms and workspaces. The dining experience has been developed in collaboration with chefs from Pullman Hotel and includes both Chinese and international cuisine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A total of ten Star Alliance airlines serve Guangzhou, with around 1,500 departures a week to 52 destinations in ten countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The new lounge replaces previous facilities in Terminal 1 and is expected to play an important role in improving the travel experience for international passengers.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Star Alliance har invigt en ny lounge p\u00e5 Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport i Kina.
