Extra costs for baggage and add-ons are the things that frustrate Swedes the most when booking a trip. In the travel agency Ticket's latest survey, nearly 4 out of 10 state that these specific fees are the biggest annoyance. Following this are difficulties in finding trips at good prices and comparing options between different booking sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It's clear that price is a decisive factor for many when booking a trip. Many spend a lot of time finding the right trip and want to feel confident that they've got a good price, says Tiyoneh Jah, PR & Communications Manager at Ticket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time, the issue of pricing has received increased attention recently, in line with reporting on aviation fuel and its impact on airlines' costs. This has contributed to a greater awareness of how external factors can affect pricing and has raised questions about how the price of summer travel may be impacted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2013 We've noticed there's concern regarding price developments. Currently, we don't foresee any major price increases for end customers, but this could change if the situation in the Middle East persists. Several tour operators have also been clear that they will not adjust prices retrospectively, which offers extra reassurance for those who have already booked their summer holiday and secured their price, says Tiyoneh Jah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The survey is based on a nationally representative sample of the Swedish population aged 18\u201379 and was carried out by Kantar Sifo on behalf of Ticket.
