The partnership will give travelers access to more destinations and smoother connections via the airlines&#039; combined route networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"521\" src=\"https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Bild-SAS.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-303895\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Bild-SAS.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Bild-SAS-600x391.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/Bild-SAS-768x500.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo: SAS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collaboration includes, among other things, travel between <strong>Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo<\/strong> as well as Indonesia&#039;s two most important destinations, <strong>Jakarta and Bali<\/strong>. The connections will initially be via Amsterdam and Tokyo Haneda, while Bangkok will also be included from the winter season 2026\/2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agreement was signed during the IATA Annual Meeting in Rio de Janeiro by Garuda Indonesia&#039;s Transformation Director <strong>Neil Raymond Mills<\/strong> and SAS CEO <strong>Anko van der Werff<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGaruda Indonesia is an important partner in connecting Scandinavia with Indonesia and the wider region. Together we make travel easier and more seamless for people, businesses and communities with connections between our countries,\u201d says Anko van der Werff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both airlines are members of the airline alliance <strong>SkyTeam<\/strong>, and the collaboration is part of the ambition to strengthen relations between Europe and Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Garuda Indonesia&#039;s customers, the agreement means improved access to SAS&#039;s network in the Nordics, while SAS travelers will have more opportunities to reach destinations in Indonesia via Garuda&#039;s domestic and regional network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Loyalty members are also included in the collaboration.
