{"id":303982,"date":"2026-06-17T06:37:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-17T04:37:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/?p=303982"},"modified":"2026-06-18T10:40:03","modified_gmt":"2026-06-18T08:40:03","slug":"after-tourist-binge-croatia-allows-spirit-ban","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.travelreport.se\/en\/efter-turistfylla-kroatien-tillater-spritforbud\/","title":{"rendered":"After tourist excess \u2013 Croatia to allow alcohol ban"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Croatia has approved a new law that allows local authorities to stop the sale of alcohol in shops at certain times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The aim is to tackle drunkenness among tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among other things, the mayor of the city of Split, a popular tourist destination known for parties and drinking, announces that the sale of alcohol will be prohibited between nine in the evening and six in the morning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ban only applies in shops, and not in bars or restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.expressen.se\/tagg\/location\/kroatien\/\" class=\"\">Croatia<\/a>&nbsp;The Minister of Tourism, Tonci Glavina, states that the aim of the new law is to improve the quality of life for local residents who \u201dwant to live in symbiosis with tourists\u201d and not to let the country exist solely for tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 It\u2019s not sustainable in the long term, he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last year, Croatia, with its 3.8 million inhabitants, received almost 22 million tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Source: Expressen-tt.se<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kroatien har godk\u00e4nt en ny lag som g\u00f6r det m\u00f6jligt f\u00f6r lokala myndigheter att stoppa alkoholf\u00f6rs\u00e4ljning i butik under vissa tider.
