A survey from Ving shows that over 80 percent have at some point experienced a vacation they didn&#039;t want to go home from, while six out of ten say that the feeling of vacation blues can set in just a few days into a trip abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The longing for the next trip is also visible in the bookings. According to Ving, the last two weeks of July and the beginning of August were 76 percent better booked than the first two weeks of July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 When everyday life starts, many people quickly want something new to look forward to \u2013 and this is clearly visible in the bookings. Right now we are seeing strong demand for future trips, says Claes Pellvik, Head of Communications at Ving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>C<\/strong>Ypres and Thailand are increasing sharply<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For trips to the Mediterranean in October and November, Ving reports a 41 percent increase compared to last year. Cyprus stands out with 76 percent higher sales over the past three weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thailand is increasing by 60 percent ahead of winter. Ving is also reintroducing direct charters to Krabi. Cape Verde is 30 percent above last year&#039;s bookings, while the Canary Islands, which continue to account for the largest volumes, are increasing by 20 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Families with children book school holidays early<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fall holidays are also starting to fill up. More than half of Ving&#039;s fall holiday trips are already sold and 30 percent of the fall holiday flights have a booking rate of over 70 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the past week, bookings for the autumn holidays have increased by 32 percent compared to last year, while Christmas and New Year&#039;s trips have increased by 35 percent. From Ume\u00e5 and Lule\u00e5, demand has been so great that Ving has introduced extra flights to Crete and Turkey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 As schools become increasingly restrictive with time off, many families with children are forced to take the holidays. That&#039;s why we see extra pressure on both the autumn holidays and Christmas and New Year&#039;s trips, says Claes Pellvik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Mediterranean season is getting longer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, Ving is seeing increased interest in traveling outside the traditional peak summer season. The charter operator has therefore extended the season to destinations such as Cyprus, Crete and Rhodes, with trips well into November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those who are not bound by the school holidays, the weeks immediately after the start of school may instead mean lower prices and continued summer weather in southern Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ving&#039;s survey was conducted in June 2026 and was answered by 6,598 Swedes.
