The Malta Tourism Authority has become a new Destination Partner of the World Travel & Tourism Council, WTTC. The partnership is launched ahead of the WTTC Global Summit 2026, which will be held in the Maltese capital of Valletta on 7\u20139 October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The collaboration will strengthen Malta's contacts with the international travel and tourism industry and give the country a platform to raise issues related to, among other things, sustainable growth, innovation and the development of the hospitality industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Malta Tourism Authority (MTA) is responsible for promoting Malta as a travel destination, working with government agencies, tourism businesses, local communities and international stakeholders. The organisation's mission also includes quality, skills development and the development of the visitor experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe partnership with the World Travel & Tourism Council comes at an important time for our tourism sector and our country as we prepare to welcome the world to Valletta for the Global Summit 2026,\u201d said Malta\u2019s Minister for Tourism Jo Etienne Abela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He emphasizes that the collaboration will give Malta the opportunity to both share its own experiences and learn from international actors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
