Det visar en ny prognos fr\u00e5n World Travel &amp; Tourism Council (WTTC), som presenterades under organisationens globala toppm\u00f6te p\u00e5 Malta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tillv\u00e4xten v\u00e4ntas bli h\u00f6gre \u00e4n i den europeiska ekonomin som helhet. Globalt r\u00e4knar WTTC med att rese- och turistn\u00e4ringen v\u00e4xer med 2,5 procent under 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Enligt prognosen \u00f6kar internationella bes\u00f6kares konsumtion i Europa med 5,8 procent. Konsumtionen inom fritidsresandet v\u00e4ntas stiga med 3,1 procent och aff\u00e4rsresandet med 4,2 procent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rese- och turistn\u00e4ringen st\u00e5r enligt WTTC f\u00f6r omkring vart tionde arbetstillf\u00e4lle i Europa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Malta v\u00e4xer snabbare \u00e4n Europa<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">WTTC globala toppm\u00f6te arrangeras i Valletta med \u00f6ver 1 000 deltagare, d\u00e4ribland fler \u00e4n 200 f\u00f6retagsledare och representanter f\u00f6r regeringar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">V\u00e4rdlandet Malta h\u00f6r till de snabbast v\u00e4xande turistmarknaderna i Europa. Under 2025 \u00f6kade rese- och turistn\u00e4ringens bidrag till landets BNP med 16,8 procent, j\u00e4mf\u00f6rt med Europas genomsnitt p\u00e5 2,6 procent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">F\u00f6r 2026 v\u00e4ntas n\u00e4ringen bidra med 4,9 miljarder dollar till Maltas ekonomi, motsvarande 16,9 procent av BNP. Sektorn ber\u00e4knas ocks\u00e5 st\u00e5 f\u00f6r mer \u00e4n vart femte arbetstillf\u00e4lle i landet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI och investeringar p\u00e5 agendan<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under toppm\u00f6tet diskuteras bland annat investeringar, flygf\u00f6rbindelser, artificiell intelligens, kompetensf\u00f6rs\u00f6rjning och h\u00e5llbar destinationsutveckling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2013 I Europa \u00e4r utsikterna \u00e4nnu starkare, med en f\u00f6rv\u00e4ntad tillv\u00e4xt p\u00e5 3,1 procent under 2026.
