I mars gav EASA \u2013 den europeiska luftfartsmyndigheten \u2013 tummen upp till planets elektriska motor och banade v\u00e4g f\u00f6r certifieringen av planet, rapporter SBC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EASA har samarbetat\u00a0med ett flertal nationella luftfartsmyndigheter, d\u00e4ribland schweiziska FOCA. Tidigare var endast f\u00f6rbr\u00e4nningsmotorer godk\u00e4nda att anv\u00e4ndas i mindre flygplan.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beslutet att godk\u00e4nna modellen kommer \u00e4ven att bli en viktig referenspunkt till framtida certifieringar av flygplan med l\u00e4gre utsl\u00e4pp, skriver SBC vidare.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pipistrel Velis Electro tillh\u00f6r\u00a0kategorin l\u00e4tta sportflygplan och enligt tillverkaren har det en maximal flygtid om 50 minuter, samt en \u201dreservtank\u201d om tio minuter, rapporterar SBC.
