– We are shocked by what we read.

FRANCE. This is how Ophélie Toulliou from a relatives' organization reacts to the latest accident report about AF447, the Air France plane that disappeared over the Atlantic on June 1, 2009.

All 228 people on board died, including three Swedes.
Toulliou explains that it is outrageous that all the blame in the new report is placed on the pilots, and that another clue is ignored that iced-up speedometers would have been a decisive factor.

According to the new compilation, which is part of the ongoing legal investigation, the French accident agency BEA writes that the pilots lost control of the plane after taking incorrect actions.
The captain was on a scheduled break, and the pilot on duty had insufficient training and experience to handle the situation when the plane began to plummet.

The relatives' organization wants to hold Airbus and Air France accountable for the tragedy.
The parties now have two months to formally respond to the report.
The plane, an Airbus A330, was en route from Rio's Galeão airport to Paris-Charles de Gaulle when it hit turbulence and disappeared. Parts of the wreckage were later found, but it took almost two years for most of the wreckage to be located. About 150 of the victims have been rescued from the accident.
