It is very windy in the mountains and large amounts of snow are coming across the country.

Some traffic disruption can be expected in the next few days.
“Right now we have some warnings issued,” says SMHI meteorologist Marcus Sjöstedt.
SMHI has issued class 2 warnings for strong winds in the northern Lapland mountains and in the Jämtland mountains. It is already blowing strongly in the southern Jämtland mountains, and the wind could increase further with a risk of storms in the mountains.

– It's blowing quite hard across the rest of the country, even though it won't be as strong as over the mountains, says Marcus Sjöstedt.
Snowfall is expected in many places in the country on Tuesday. And it will continue to snow over some parts of eastern Svealand and Norrland on Wednesday before it starts to ease on Thursday.
– We have class 1 warnings for the snowfall issued in parts of Götaland and also parts of Svealand, as well as for Västernorrland County. In connection with the large amounts arriving, traffic may become chaotic in some places, says Marcus Sjöstedt.
