Disney will invest two billion euros, equivalent to 20.2 billion kronor, in a multi-year expansion of Disneyland Paris.

This is according to a press release. The amusement park opened in 1992 and accounts for 6.2 percent of France's tourism revenue. The number of visitors since its opening has exceeded 320 million.

During the new venture, which will begin in 2021, Walt Disney Studios Park will, among other things, be significantly expanded, it says.

In addition, Disney aims to create three new areas and a new lake around which it intends to offer entertainment experiences. Over 16,000 people usually work at Disneyland Paris. It is not clear how many more will be added in connection with the expansion.
