It was proud employees from Clarion Hotel who yesterday took to the stage in Helsinki and accepted the award for the best hotel chain in the Nordic region. The Business Travel Awards were presented during the annual Nordic Business Travel Summit.

– With previous wins from both the Swedish and Norwegian business travel organizations, we are incredibly proud to receive the award for our Nordic presence. The award is based on a survey of the 350 largest companies in business travel in the Nordic region. The fact that they have voted for us is proof that we as a chain deliver across national borders, says Henrik Berghult, Senior Vice President Clarion Hotel.

The fact that the award was presented in Helsinki was also particularly gratifying as Clarion as a hotel chain has been new to the Finnish market for 1.5 years.

“At the end of 2016, we opened not one, but two hotels in Finland. Clarion Hotel Helsinki and Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport truly establish Clarion Hotel as a passionate brand, with vibrant meeting places for both hotel guests and locals,” continues Berghult.

The Nordic Business Travel Award is a collaboration between the four business travel organizations in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden – DBTA, FBTA, NBTA and SBTA. In the category Best Nordic Hotel Chain, the nominees were Clarion Hotel, Scandic Hotels and the Finnish hotel chain Sokos Hotels.
