Support for the aviation tax has increased in one year, according to an Ipsos survey published in Dagens Nyheter.

A year ago, 44 percent were in favor of an aviation tax – and this year it is a majority, at 53 percent.

The much-debated tax will be introduced on April 1. When the government presented the first proposals, the alliance parties threatened to try to dismiss the responsible minister, which the Sweden Democrats also supported. In the final proposal, the government had backed down on several points.

In the survey, it is primarily the proportion of undecided voters that has decreased. The opposition side is about the same size as before. The survey was conducted with 1,029 digital interviews between March 9 and 19.
