Panama is banning several Venezuelan airlines from flying into the country for 90 days, according to the government.
Both state and private airlines are affected. The announcement is the latest in a conflict between the countries, which began with high-ranking Venezuelans being designated as high-risk individuals for involvement in money laundering and the financing of terrorism. The list drawn up by Panama includes over 50 people, including Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.
Venezuela has cut off trade relations with companies from Panama. Both countries have recalled their ambassadors.
Panamanian airline Copa has previously been suspended from flying to and from Venezuela. Major international airlines have also stopped flying to Venezuela, for economic and security reasons.
