
During the week, the Swedish Bus Tour Operators (SB) held their Annual Meeting in Gothenburg.
After 7 years as chairman, bus legend Toni Schönfelder handed over the chairmanship to Kjell Peterson.
Schönfelder is one of the initiators of the formation of SB and has long and qualified experience in the industry from various leading positions and is considered a legend in the bus industry.
He was recognized during the meeting by being named an Honorary Member and Legend of SB. He was also awarded the Golden Bus by RK Travel Group.
Kjell Peterson, who has been on the SB board since 2012, was elected as the new Chairman.
Peterson has extensive international experience from various board and corporate management positions.
He has been the only Swede to be World President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce International (JCI), with 500,000 members in over 100 countries, and has led the organization from its headquarters in Miami, USA. He has, among other things, been chairman of New Wave AB and Arena Gothenburg.
In 1994 he helped start West Sweden's EU regional and lobbying office in Brussels and ran it as CEO until 2012. He primarily worked on regional and transport issues. West Sweden was considered one of the leading lobbying organizations among the approximately 300 regional offices in Brussels.
The new board of SB otherwise consists of the re-elected Erland Olsson, Anette Karlsson, Per Ola Svensson, Jörgen Sköld, Erik Dahlbom and Peter Sandberg.
