The new wing includes waiting areas, eight aircraft gates, four coach gates, as well as shops, restaurants, business lounges, facilities for technology, logistics and freight, and maintenance and service areas for the airlines.

In addition, the wing has telescopic glass entrances and bridges to the aircraft, some of which are double for wide-body airliners, which allows passengers to board and disembark in both the front and rear of the plane simultaneously.

The internationally renowned Israeli architect Moshe Safdie, together with architect Irit Kohavi, was responsible for the design of the new wing.
