Anyone who enjoys the sun and warmth has nothing to fear in the coming days, on the contrary: The high temperatures will most certainly persist and even end up a little higher.
”"It's high-pressure weather that dominates the rest of the week," Lovisa Andersson, on-call meteorologist at SMHI, told TT.
Local showers may occur in some places, but for the most part it will be sunny and warm.
”"It looks like we will generally get progressively warmer temperatures this weekend," says Lovisa Andersson, on-call meteorologist at SMHI.
The weekend weather is predicted to be the warmest in the western parts of Götaland and Svealand, with temperatures between 25 and 30 degrees in some areas.
”"There are forecasts of at least 28 degrees in the material I have access to."”
The heat looks set to continue into the beginning of next week. After that, the forecast will start to become more uncertain.
”"There's a bit of a question mark for the middle of next week. We're seeing areas of rain approaching, but we'll see how it goes."”
Meteorological summer has arrived in most of the country. Now only certain parts of the interior further up north remain.
”"Temperatures have been much above normal this year, it is unusually warm," says Lovisa Andersson.
