Borås Zoo makes a record loss of 21 million SEK.

This is the worst result in a quarter of a century, according to SVT and SR.

The hot summer had a negative impact on visitor numbers. July, for example, was extremely poor. The park is owned by Borås Municipality and is budgeted at a loss.

CEO Bo Kjellson is optimistic about the future, however. He also states that the company is in dialogue with the owner and that it is too early to predict how the loss will affect the future.
