A total of 3,388,898 passengers chose to fly with the Norwegian low-cost airline Norwegian in October.
An increase of 8 percent compared to the same month in 2017. This is evident from Norwegian's monthly statistics.
Norwegian NAS +1,55%s capacity, ASK, increased by 32 percent while the load factor amounted to 85 percent, which was a decrease of 2.4 percentage points compared to October 2017.

We are now entering a period of lower demand, fierce competition and high oil prices, which makes it even more important to continue reducing the company's costs," says Bjørn Kjos, CEO of Norwegian, in a press release.
Norwegian's yield, revenue per passenger kilometer, fell by 2 percent compared to October 2017.
”"The yield trend is generally positive but is affected by increased average flight length. Since revenue per passenger kilometer is lower on longer flights, the company's yield falls as long-haul routes constitute an increasing share of total traffic," Norwegian writes.
The company operated 99.4 percent of its scheduled flights during the month with a punctuality of 79.7 percent.
