India's largest conglomerate Tata Group is considering making a bid for India's second largest airline Jet Airways.

Several media outlets report this.

A deal could be announced as early as today, according to Times of India's sources.

Jet Airways is under financial pressure and has reported losses for three consecutive quarters. Without a capital injection, the company may be forced to suspend interest payments, analysts say, writes Nikkei.
