For six years, industry experts at the World Ski Awards have named the world's best players in the ski industry.
The best ski resort is Val Thorens and the best ski hotel is W Verbier in Switzerland.

The peak season for ski resorts and resorts is here and everyone is hoping for a long and snowy winter. Fifteen industry players have been given a little extra glitz and glam after the World Ski Awards placed them on their coveted list.

Val Thorens once again won first prize for best ski resort, and the five-star luxury hotel W Verbier in Schweiz took home the award for best ski hotel. The hotel has ”the perfect balance between modern design and Swiss tradition.” The hotel, which has 123 rooms and six different bars and restaurants, is just a stone’s throw from the extensive lift system in Verbier.

Copperhill Mountain Lodge has been named Sweden's best ski hotel.

The World Ski Awards also selects winners in the different countries and in Sweden Åre topped the list of ski resorts. Åre, which is one of Sweden's largest ski resorts, has 41 lifts and 90 ski slopes and there is something for everyone, whether you are a beginner or a pro on the slopes.

The best ski hotel is Copperhill Mountain Lodge in Åre with its 112 hotel rooms and suites. There is also a spa that has won the award for best in Europe, a restaurant, bar, ski rental, gym, activities and its own helipad. The hotel has fantastic views of the mountains and ski in/ski out to the entire Åre ski system.
