Mattias Wäne becomes the new CEO of Hertz

He most recently came from a position as CEO of Volvo Cars and replaces Niklas Siljeblad who is moving to Volvo Car Sweden.

On February 1, Mattias Wäne will take up his position as the new CEO of Hertz Car Rental in Sweden. He most recently came from a position as CEO of Volvo Cars. Mattias Wäne has more than 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, where he has held leading positions in both finance and sales.

“Hertz is in an exciting position in a changing industry. I am really looking forward to the task of continuing to develop the business together with all Hertz employees,” says Mattias Wäne.

Mattias Wäne succeeds Niklas Siljeblad, who after six years as CEO of Hertz will become Director Network, Development and Partners at Volvo Car Sweden. In addition, he will continue to be a member of the board of Hertz Sweden and chairman of the boards of Hertz Norway and Hertz Denmark, as well as a board member of Hertz Finland. Niklas Siljeblad will take up his new position on February 1.
