The state-owned Vietnamese airline Vietjet has signed agreements with aircraft manufacturer Boeing and conglomerate GE worth a total of $18 billion, equivalent to SEK 167 billion.

US President Donald Trump and Vietnamese President Nguyen Phu Trong attended the signing of the agreement between Vietjet and Boeing.

Ahead of this week's meeting between the United States and North Korea, US President Donald Trump and his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Phu Trong took the opportunity on Wednesday to preside over a ceremony where Vietjet signed agreements with both Boeing and GE.

In total, Vietjet ordered an additional 100 Boeing planes of the 737 Max model, which means that they have now ordered a total of 200 planes from the American aircraft manufacturer.
