Norwegian low-cost carrier Norwegian operated 97.4 percent of its scheduled flights in March. According to the company, passengers were ”minorly” affected by the grounding of its Boeing 737 Max aircraft.

A total of 2,961,840 passengers flew with Norwegian in March, which was 145,676 more than in the same month in 2018. Total traffic growth, RPK, increased by 9 percent while capacity growth, ASK, amounted to 11 percent. Norwegian's cabin factor, in turn, decreased by 1.3 percentage points to 85.4 percent. 

Norwegian's yield, i.e. revenue per passenger kilometer, decreased by 4 percent compared to March 2018. The Rask level, i.e. revenue per available seat, decreased by 6 percent compared to March 2018. 

Norwegian also states that the company's passengers were affected to a "small degree" by the company's 18 Boeing 737 Max planes being taken out of service.
