Former Spotify board member proposed to become new Airbus chairman

The nomination board of French aircraft manufacturer Airbus has proposed that German René Obermann, former CEO of Deutsche Telekom and board member of Spotify between 2014 and 2016, be elected to the position of chairman of Airbus.

Reuters reports.

Airbus' current chairman Denis Ranque calls the appointment "next generation leadership.".

René Obermann has been described as the German government's favorite for the post. The French and German states own 11.08 and 11.07 percent of the company, respectively.
