Scandinavian Mountains Airport has had its official IATA code approved and the three-digit code is now visible at IATA (International Air Transport Association Airport code).

”"We are very pleased that IATA has now released our airport code, which means that airlines can start adding their routes for the upcoming winter season. We are experiencing strong demand from both airlines and tour operators for information about both the airport and our region. Now that the process around approval from the Swedish Transport Agency is also in full swing, we are focusing on opening at the end of the year," says Brett Weihart, CEO of Scandinavian Mountains Airport.

Scandinavian Mountains Airport (SCR) opens to traffic on December 22, 2019.
