Anyone who thought they had taken their last swim of the summer – think again. This weekend, the temperature is expected to climb back up to 25 degrees in large parts of Götaland and Svealand.
– If not a last bath, it could at least be a last ice cream, says SVT's meteorologist Nils Holmqvist.
Before the late summer heat sets in over southern Sweden, unstable weather is expected during the week with some dark clouds in the sky.
– There is a low pressure that will pass over the next few days. There are showers that will pass by, but it is good for all the mushrooms that we are waiting for to appear in the forests, says Nils Holmqvist.
It could be 25 degrees.
When the rain has done its thing, the clouds will break up and on Saturday and Sunday both Götaland and Svealand could see temperatures of a bit over 20 degrees again.
– This weekend the weather will be quite nice in southern Sweden. A little warmer air will come in, the temperature will rise and with the help of the sun it could probably reach 25 degrees.
The North will have to wait
For Norrland, the forecast looks somewhat cooler, at least during the weekend.
– The weather in Norrland is a bit more unstable this weekend, but this heat looks like it could last at least a bit into next week and even pick up a bit along the Norrland coast. Then it could be well over 20 degrees in any case.
