Norwegian's stock rose sharply on Tuesday afternoon after Spanish newspaper OK Diario once again published unconfirmed reports of renewed interest from IAG.
According to the newspaper, yesterday's approval from bondholders was a prerequisite for IAG to look at Norwegian as a takeover target again.
Just before 2:15 p.m., the share was around 40 Norwegian kronor, roughly the same level it closed at on Monday. Just before the announcement, the share was down around 6 percent for the day. The highest close of the day was just over 44 kronor.
OK Diario has also previously published unconfirmed information about British Airways owner IAG's interest. After the latest turnaround in July, IAG reiterated previous denials that a new bid for Norwegian was in the works.
Last year, the Spanish-British airline group first invested 350 kronor per Norwegian share and then 220 kronor per share.
IAG also owns Spain's Iberia and Ireland's Aer Lingus. On Tuesday, the share was trading down 2 percent.
