Electric scooter company Voi fears that outsiders may have accessed the names and email addresses of over a million users in Europe, DI Digital reveals.
The information is based on a notification to the Swedish Data Protection Authority, a notification from Voi, according to Di Digital.
According to Di, a user broke into the company's computer system in November and gained access to the entire receipt system. However, Voi says the error was fixed within an hour.
The number of affected customers is estimated at "over one million".
Voi does not want to be interviewed by phone, but in an email the company writes:
”"Our internal investigation shows that no receipts were actually leaked, but the background to the report was that we had a vulnerability in our system that was noticed by a person outside Voi," the company writes according to Dagens Industri.
